Another great read by Elizabeth Kelly. Great characters who kept my interest, and an interesting plot. Jack is drawn to her but doesn't feel worthy of her because he is considered a pariah by his own people. It was kinda silly really and I get tired of characters pulling out that old chestnut. So when I saw she had a new one out, I jumped on it--I was not disappointed. Very enjoyable read. Nice flow, easy to understand. Was able to finish in an evening. It was great characters, good suspense, and spicy intimate scenes. The H seems to mess up with the h quite a bit in this one--especially in the beginning. My only complaint is I felt part of the ending rushed. Without giving anything away, the h is upset with something the H is or actually isn't doing, them I feel like BAM!

The reveal that the numbers Jake has been collecting are part of a pre-existing sequence that connects everything, offers quite a bit of ongoing story potential while also bringing those earlier episodes closer to the main mythology. I still think the show could use a lot more subtlety in its approach, but another plus is the recent development of Clea as an important character, which is good to see, particularly with the demise of Teller RIP who had been our mythos anchor during lean times.
