What packs should i buy for rfactor 2? This is both a good and bad thing in my opinion. The good being that it will hopefully attract a bigger user base as people watch some pro's and aliens race in a well produced racing format. This will hopefully provide additional revenue for S and hopefully advance the development of the game at a greater speed than at present.

The bad being that most average users wont see much benefit from this at the moment, as unless you are an alien, you wont be taking part in most of these races. It also means focus right now isn't on fixing the many bugs rF2 suffers from.

For online racing, as others have stated, you have to pretty much join a league and race at set times. This is fine for some people, but personally I feel online is seriously lacking when compared to other sims. Sims like R3E do online racing far better IMO, you can always hop in a race and don't have to confine yourself to set times as with league racing. However there is on-going work on improving this aspect of the sim, but like everything in rF2, development is a slow process.

With all the above taken into consideration, I still play rF2 more than the other racing sims I use them all except iRacing. While i hate the sim and its slow development at times, the moments of magic it can produce keeps me coming back to play it.

A external program called MAS Utility alows you to calibrate a championship. You pick tracks to race on and cars. Both champs are against PC but you can join online leages if you wish.

The game never ages as content is updated all the time with new car sets and tracks. So it is better than anything out there.
